MavLab Learning is NOT a tutoring program

Bright and bored (and craving for greater academic challenge), or falling more and more behind grade level…we have worked with both types of students with great success. Because our curriculum is independently curated for each student, no one student will ever hold back another student. There is no one size fits all educational model for today’s world.

MavLab is a Life Development Program for the future success of your child. We map current academic learning into the life skills your child will need for success. MavLab Learning is real-life practice for their future self!

A Day in the Life. What does our program look like for your child?

An afternoon session for your child is generally 2 ½ to 3 hours in duration and is broken down into two components, the daily MWOD (Mental Work-Out of the Day) and the Daily Hack. The MWOD is where your child will be tasked with working on an set of academic skills for the afternoon. These skills can be anywhere from math, spelling, writing, critical reading, typing or geography. Whatever academic skills that are needed to further advance them from where they are today. The Daily Hack is where your student will work on projects to develop certain skills, like public speaking or project management, or skills to develop passions, like pottery design or architecture. Think 21st Century shop class where students will be heavily involved in design and producing a final product. We are open to any and all ideas here!
